Wade's Beverage Law

In true Eclipsian fashion, it has become necessary to post beverage laws for the boat.  These beverage laws have been set down by that most austere gentleman and sailor extraordinaire Wade McDaniel.  It must be noted, that at institution of Wades Beverage Law, the author skipped the country to live abroad.  I don't know if this is relevant, however, his legacy lives on in these simple rules for beverage consumption and storage.

1)      Once Alcohol comes on the boat, there is only one way off the boat, and it must pass through the human body before it leaves.

a)      In order of priority:

i)        Peed off the transom

ii)      Peed down the head

iii)    Yakked off in some form or another

2)      Removing alcohol from the boat in its original container is simply “not fast” and not Eclipsian in the least.

3)      Authorized alcohol & Beverages:

a)      Beer

i)        Bud in cans (also known as The King of Beers or simply The King)

(preferable heated and cooled 3-4 cycles before consumed)

ii)    Miller Light (also known as a Blue Boy)

ii)      High quality European imports in cans

b)      Rum

i)        Mount Gay Extra Old

ii)      Mount Gay Eclipse

iii)    Whalers

c)      Wine

i)        High quality red or white (screw cap preferred)

d)     Mixers

i)        Assorted (no cheap crap)

e)      Water

i)        Sadly…. Yes (used to wash out spilled beer)

If you would like a beverage considered for inclusion in this list, submit your beverage choice with a brief summary of why you believe it deserves inclusion.  A committee of Eclipsians, will determine suitability for inclusion in the Beverage Law Listing.
